Our care home dance sessions are uplifting 30-minute classes designed to bring joy, movement, and connection to residents.Â
Using a variety of familiar music they know and love, each session encourages participation through gentle, chair-based dance and exercise. These classes provide valuable cognitive stimulation, helping to support memory, coordination, and overall mental wellbeing, while also boosting serotonin levels and mood.
Movements are carefully adapted to ensure a safe and secure environment, focusing on low-impact, less weight-bearing exercises to reduce the risk of injury. At the same time, sessions help to strengthen muscles, improve mobility, and support physical health.
Carers and staff are encouraged to join in, creating a fun, inclusive atmosphere where everyone can move, laugh, and connect together. Our sessions promote not only physical wellbeing, but also social interaction and emotional happiness within the care home setting.
Fees and travel costs will be discussed. Class frequency can also be discussed - whether they are weekly or monthly. Monthly classes are popular across these organisations with classes that repeat exercises and songs for consistency as well as learning new routines to increase engagement.
Sessions can be adapted to suit the requirements and ability of the group. We can have discussions on what sessions would be best for your residents, such as a specific dance style, or dance fitness styled classes, chair based or standing etc.
It is important to us that we create the best suited sessions for each home so everyone can receive the most out of the sessions!
